How to Build a Custom Route
Open the Route Builder
Click the Routes icon in the navigation bar, or tap the route icon on mobile. This opens the route builder panel.
Set Your Origin
Type an address, city name, or landmark in the "Start" field. You can also click directly on the map to drop a pin at your starting location.
Set Your Destination
Enter your destination in the "End" field. The system will calculate the optimal driving route between your two points.
View Cameras Along Route
Once the route is calculated, you'll see all traffic cameras along your path highlighted. Click any camera to view its live feed.
Save Your Route
Click Save Route to store it for future use. Give it a name like "Morning Commute" or "Airport Run" for easy identification.

Tips for Better Routes
Camera Density Varies
Some highway segments have cameras every mile; others have gaps. If your route shows few cameras on a section, supplement with weather apps or radio for that segment.
Check Before Rush Hour
The best time to check your route is 10-15 minutes before you'd normally leave. This gives you time to see conditions and adjust your departure or route choice.
Name Routes Clearly
Use descriptive names: "Home to Downtown Office" is better than "Route 1". Include key highways in the name for quick reference.
Update Routes When Needed

How many routes can I save?

Do routes update automatically if construction changes the path?
Routes are static—they show the path calculated when you created them. If your regular route changes, simply delete the old route and create a new one with the updated path.
Can I edit a saved route?
Currently, you need to delete and recreate routes to change them. We're working on an edit feature for future updates.
Do routes work offline?
Route paths are stored and work offline once loaded. However, camera feeds require an internet connection to stream live video or images.
Can I see alternate routes side-by-side?
